A Cowboy Nursery

This nursery was inspired by objects from my childhood like the Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls. I took vintage objects and mixed them with transitional furniture and a vibrant color palette of denim and red. The comfy denim rocker is a mom's best friend, and the fire engine red crib is a dramatic focal point. The white wainscoting on the walls is a necessary break for this strong color palette so that it doesn't look cluttered.

Chalkboard Doors

I recently got to use one of my favorite products in a Kitchen renovation, for a walk-in pantry door. Above is one of the homeowner's little girls enjoying the bottom portion of the chalkboard door. I used the Simpson brand magnetic-chalkboard door, in paint grade maple wood, then painted it with a washable, latex, semi-gloss white. I put new black handles and hinges on all of the doors in the surrounding Kitchen areas in contrast to the white. The homeowner is currently enjoying their beautiful, yet functional new kitchen. Look for the before and after photos to be posted in the portfolio section of www.orangemooninteriors.com soon.
